<image:caption>Beans on Toast. We are delighted to be joined by special guest, Beans on Toast, for a campfire session at We Are Not A Festival. Essex born folk songwriter ‘Beans on Toast’ is an extremely unique performer. Twisting an age-old genre with a D.I.Y. approach and contemporary concerns has earned him the title of a cult figure who tells it like it is. A festival favourite (he’s played Glastonbury every year since 2007) and a prolific writer and performer. He’s written and recorded 11 albums and he’s played every bar, club, venue, pub, festival, party and honky-tonk you can think of. He’s a hippy, a punk, a poet, a drunk, a die-hard romantic and an eternal optimist. Singing simple songs that tackle big issues. Political protest songs for the modern day, honest and open Love songs. Songs that will make you laugh, but also make you think with no holds barred honesty and quick wit. He’s constantly writing, recording and releasing music and puts out a new album each year on 1st December, which happens to be his birthday. Each album recorded with a different producer and musicians, over the years he’s worked with the likes of Ben Lovett (Mumford & Sons), Frank Turner and Kitty and Lewis Durham (Kitty, Daisy & Lewis) He tours constantly and has gigged and played festivals all over the world. The Beans on Toast live show is an odd and unpredictable experience. A singer, songwriter and storyteller his self-deprecating quality is not something you often see, but it breaks down the barrier between musician and audience, creating a sense of equality. “Cult legend and all round hero” Louder than War, “Protest songs peppered with optimism” The Guardian, "Brimming with energy and infectious charm"Clash. www.beansontoastmusic.com</image:caption>

Bespoke Flowers is the London based project started by Danish born Yan Skates in 1999. <image:caption>THE TRUE SELF WORKSHOP. Led by Caroline Hounsell. Understanding and practicing taking the loving, thriving route in life. Life is often described as being a journey and for many of us it can be wonderful or extremely challenging at times. In this workshop we will explore a new creative way of understanding how our belief systems can influence how we think, feel and behave. We will look at gentle ways to identify our outdated, unhelpful thinking patterns and learn how to change our thinking and behaviour for a happier more fulfilling life. This workshop will be a fun mix of informative presentations and individual and group activities. We look forward to welcoming you as part of the group. Caroline Hounsell was one of the first Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England Instructors to be trained by MHFA’s originator Betty Kitchener in 2006 and a founding member of MHFA England. Caroline joined the national MHFA England training team in 2007, taking on the role of MHFA England’s national Quality Assurance Lead in 2012. In 2015 she was appointed into a new role as MHFA England’s Director of Business and Partnerships, which evolved into the role of Director of Product Development, Partnerships and Training. She was awarded The Most Inspirational Person’ Award at the 10 year MHFA England anniversary event in 2017. She chaired the Expert Reference Group and led on the Schools programme (announced by the previous Prime Minister Theresa May) that brought mental health training into over 2000 secondary schools in the country between 2017-2019. </image:caption>

<image:caption>THE MĀORI HAKA. Perfect for Sunday Morning wake up. We’re proud to bring you the traditional Maori spiritual war dance known as the Haka. Haka was used before battle to now only issue a challenge to an enemy but to also unite people together to work and move as one. This workshop will give you a better understanding of Haka, it’s use in the past and present and how it promotes “Kotahitanga” which is unity and strength in numbers. This workshop is led by Sol, a Maori from New Zealand, who has lived in the UK for nearly 15 years. He is the great great grandson of the Maori chief, Waimarama Puhara; the composer of the Haka “Tika Tonu.” There will be a chance to ask questions, take photos and learn a Haka and it’s meaning.</image:caption>

In 2021 we added a new venue ‘Curious Worlds’ which offered arts, crafts and learning such as the popular sign language workshop or Yan’s Floral headband’s. Many of its ethics and techniques mirror indigenous wisdom successfully practiced for many years and up to this day. This will be an inspiring introductory conversion into what permaculture is, how, when and why we use it, with specific focus on growing food and medicine. </image:caption>

The mysterious Gilded Pleasures mobile disco roadshow is never to be seen until the elusive DJ steps up behind the wheels of steel and retracts his first 12 inch from it’s sleeve… moments before the party really begins. Some say he travels through time from the 80’s in a smoke filled Delorian each and every gig… Some say he is permanently cryogenically frozen and is brought back to life backstage moments before he appears... Some say that he is just “too much party’ and he himself understands this so lives as a recluse on a small uninhabited island just off the coast of Ireland, to which the only map is held by a small droid outrunning the forces of the darkside and he will only reappear in public when he believes people are ready to witness him… or the world needs him for 60-90 minutes at a time. Whatever the truth be, the fact is, bearing witness to a Gilded Pleasures set will leave you in a state of such pure, unadulterated 80’s cool that it will further permeate your life to the point that it will make friends and strangers alike adore and want to be you…</image:caption>

<image:caption>KARYO. Karyo are a five-piece alternative hip-hop band from Bristol, comprising a tight group of long-time friends and musical collaborators. Their sound pays homage to the boys’ much earlier forays into funk and ska. University and onwards saw the sound develop a heavier edge and elements were gradually incorporated from the band members’ separate explorations of electronic music. Karyo were originally formed as an instrumental outfit in 2016, joined later that year by the formidable lyricist, Henry Wilson. Ollie joined the band in 2018 bringing the spice of live brass to the growing show. Karyo’s music is characterised by offbeat guitars, swung rhythms, Jamie T-esque rap vocals and raucous brass hooks. Samples, MIDI pads and guitar effects are used live to create exciting electronic textures and an engaging performance spectacle. Henrys vocals use metaphor and rhyme to cleverly explore controversial topics such as climate change and UK’s messy political situation. The mood is upbeat and rhythmic with deep, punchy bass and hip-hop drums - perfect for drinking and dancing.</image:caption>

His fondness for folk and Americana led him to jump on the opportunity to pursue a solo career and express his passion for roots music and contemporary songwriting. His vivid blend of storytelling echoes the work of beat authors such as Charles Bukowski, William S. Burroughs and more modern authors such as Irvine Welsh. <image:caption>KARYO. SATURDAY Returning after a stellar performance in 2020, Karyo are a five-piece alternative hip-hop band from Bristol, comprising a tight group of long-time friends and musical collaborators. The mood is upbeat and rhythmic with deep, punchy bass and hip-hop drums.</image:caption>

<image:caption>PASSION, VISION AND ACCOUNTABILITY 5Rhythms® With Neda Nenadic Sunday 4:15-6:45pm, free Neda leads a socially distancing dance session, to be transported to another place. - How do we inspire each other through these challenging times? - Awakening and reclaiming our passion for life. - Daring to dream bold and have a vision that genuinely inspires us. - Stepping into our innate power and authority that what we do to ourselves we do to the great web of life. Our accountability counts. I feel our holy human work is to support and inspire each other to take care of ourselves, each other and this precious life. To be warriors of the heart and custodians of this life. Looking forward to dancing with you on that beautiful land. I have been dancing 5Rhythms® for 30 y now, teaching for 10. This practice has held me through all changes and challenges of life. Inner and outer. The times that we are living in now I feel through the chaos of panic and overload of information that’s coming at us. We must have space and practice to come back to the wisdom and innocence of being deeply connected to the earth wisdom that moves through us, holds us and rocks us. Wherever we go we in life whatever we do. We are always standing in the centre of our life. Everything that comes to us teaches us something. My prayer is that we are fully at home in our body, heart, mind and soul. So that we can be truly present and responsive to life. For me, 5Rhythms® always amplifies and renews that state of being. I feel the times we are living in are challenging and exciting. For we must make the choice “What sustains us, what sustains the whole web of life.” This November I’ll be going to Antarctica with Robert Swan, 2041 Foundation https://2041foundation.org/ to become one of the world Ambassadors to protect Antarctica to stay the wild pristine wilderness for science and peace only.</image:caption>

I will address specific points to balance the aura system following the results of the reading. I also channel and that can be added to the reading if you so wish. ABOUT @ELEART2019 EleArt19 is a therapist and poet and has been involved in the complementary/energy field for over 20 years. Did he grow to face our fears – and will that sun rise again? Across the world, throughout the ages, we have watched the rise and fall of the sun as the year turns. Join storyteller Jon Mason to explore what this solar story has meant to our ancestors, through the folklore and mythology they left behind. Part history, part performance, we'll trace the clues of past belief through tales from around Britain and the wider world. Jon is a Brighton-based storyteller, and is fascinated by myths, legends and what they tell us about the land and our history. He has performed at festivals, storytelling clubs and schools for many years, and his summer 2020 show on solar myths and the Uffington White Horse, "Chasing the Sun", sold out online several times. During the lockdown, I started picking up my guitar more and more to help me through the craziness of the past year and eventually started to sing indie, 80's and modern pop covers in pubs and busking in my local town. I grew up surrounded by a family who loved listening to music such as The Jam, Oasis, Blur, Avril Lavigne, REM and Coldplay, music has always held a warm and safe place in my heart. As I reached school and college my love for music grew and artists such as Tom Odell, Gabrielle Aplin and The staves started to inspire my acoustic music and parts of my songwriting. I am yet to release any official music and mainly play covers but hopefully this year everyone will be able to hear my originals more as my confidence develops!</image:caption>
